Onsite only - no remote or hybrid options available. Candidates must relocate before starting (relocation expenses not covered). The contractor must be available to start onsite from day one.

Job Overview:

This role focuses on designing and engineering scalable and efficient network systems, contributing to the development and success of a nationwide 5G network. The Staff Network Engineer will be involved in the design, engineering, and deployment of network routing devices. This position also offers advanced technical leadership for projects, including subsystem upgrades and strategic network improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze architectural requirements, providing network and services design solutions in a multi-VRF environment.
- Design, plan, and implement large-scale, complex network configurations in a service provider network.
- Communicate engineering solutions using detailed diagrams, both high- and low-level.
- Lead the planning and execution of network tests, validation, and integration to ensure network integrity.
- Provide hands-on support for 24x7 production network operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in large enterprise or service provider environments.
- Professional networking certs such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are a plus.
- Public cloud certs (e.g., Advanced Networking, Cloud Network Eng.) benficial.
- Expertise in service provider networking.
- Familiarity with protocols like ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing.
- BGP routing and route reflector experience.
- Experience with multi-VRF environments, traffic shaping, and QoS.
- Knowledge of IP Address Management, DNS, DHCP.
- Familiarity with high availability, failover, and redundancy configurations.
- Understanding of network security, including firewalls and related services like TACACS, ISE, and VPN.
- Proficiency in network automation or scripting using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
