  • The Pilot will be responsible to comply with applicable federal regulations while flying unmanned aerial systems on behalf of Duke Energy projects and interests.
  • Will also act as visual observers and will be required to maintain proficiencies as required for the mission/project they are assigned to.
  • Will be asked to serve in additional roles such as training, subject matter expert, mission commander, project lead, and/or other leadership roles needed by the Unmanned Aerial Systems department

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Six months of RPIC experience flying in the energy utilities sector.
  • Six months of logged wire-environment flying for commercial purposes.
  • Six months of logged wire-environment flying for commercial purposes.

Required Certifications:

  • FAA Part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot in Command Certificate.
  • NC DOT UAS Commercial Permit.
