Employee Relations Specialist


Base Locations: Birmingham, Leeds & Manchester

Our consultancy client is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join their team, based in Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the ER Manager, you will manage a diverse caseload, providing support and coaching to business leaders on complex ER issues, including:

  • Offering expert ER guidance on policies, best practices, and risk mitigation
  • Leading consultations, restructures, redundancies, and TUPE processes
  • Managing sickness absence cases, including occupational health referrals and dismissals
  • Acting as a stakeholder in grievance and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair outcomes
  • Overseeing appeal processes and Settlement Agreements
  • Managing Death in Service cases, ensuring coordination and support for all stakeholders

What You Will Need

  • Proven ER experience with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Experience handling complex, sensitive cases and delivering service excellence
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is preferred
