Role: Software Engineer

Our leading Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer to join their team for a 6-month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using ZOS Connect EE, DB2 Rest, and CICS web services.
  • Utilize development tools such as FileAid, Xpeditor, IBM Explorer for ZOS API, and Visual Studio.
  • Work with SOAP, WSDL, and JSON for web services development.
  • Manage code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis using Gitlab, Endevor, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Implement DevOps and Agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices with Jenkins.
  • Develop and integrate SOA and Restful APIs.

Required Skillsets:

  • Experience with ZOS Connect EE, DB2 Rest, and CICS web services.
  • Proficiency in development tools like FileAid, Xpeditor, IBM Explorer for ZOS API, and Visual Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, and JSON.
  • Experience with code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis (Gitlab, Endevor, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices and Jenkins.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SOA and Restful APIs.

Desirable Skillsets:

  • Java skill set with a strong foundation in OOP and functional programming (Java 8+).
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot's annotations, configuration, and deployment.
  • Experience in Restful API development.
  • Hands-on experience with DataPower appliances.
  • Development experience using XSLT, Gateway Script, and XPath.
  • Knowledge of security integration patterns such as basic authentication, client authentication (MATLS), and OAuth (JWT).
