Head of Data - Liverpool - £90,000 + bonus

The Company:
Lorien Global are working in partnership with a business based in Liverpool who are looking to continue the modernisation of their technology stack. Starting with the software architecture, they're now moving onto their data landscape.

The Role:
As the Head of Data you'll be responsible for the data engineering strategy which includes storage, collection, analysis and insights generated from the various data ingestion points.

This will be a leadership position focussing on technology, people and process, giving you a well rounded opportunity to influence how what the future data platform will look like. Starting out as a small team with ambition to grow, this is a good opportunity for a leader to take their next steps to becoming head of a department.

The Skill Requirements:
Candidates must have a blend of the following:

• Excellent hands-on experience of data engineering, including ETL, warehousing and data modelling
• Strong understanding of SQL data warehouse fundamentals
• Familiarity with the wider products from Microsoft Azure (Databricks, Fabric & PowerBI)
• Understanding of coding language Python for ML
• Team leadership experience, focusing on resource allocation, training and mentoring
• Excellent communication between both internal and external stakeholders

• Salary up to 90,000

• Hybrid working form central Manchester (2-3 days in the office a week)
