Top Hand Technician

Job Summary: The Top Hand Technician supports the Foreman in managing and executing all aspects of tower site activities. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, leadership, and the ability to work independently or in a leadership capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Foreman in planning and executing tower work, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Lead and mentor less experienced technicians, providing guidance on safety practices, work procedures, and technical aspects of the job.
• Perform complex tasks such as rigging, antenna installation, and line work with precision and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-job safety meetings and ensure all team members understand the day's objectives and hazards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at the site, sometimes independently from the foreman.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment issues, and safety observations.
• Participate in the training and certification of new technicians.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a tower technician.
• Certification from an accredited tower climbing school or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of tower climbing gear, tools, and technology related to telecom installations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification beneficial.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
