Level 3 DC Power Technician
Phoenix, AZ

Experience Required:
3+ Years in DC Power (Telecom, UPS, Utilities)
Overview:

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced technician to perform a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of DC power systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the DC power industry and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities (experience in each required)

  • Install batteries, rectifier battery plants, ironwork, and cable racks.
  • Provide DC power plant upgrades and replacements including distribution equipment
  • Run power cables, crimp lugs, and perform lacing.
  • Take voltage and gravity readings, perform load tests, and diagnose equipment and systems.
  • Install, maintain, repair, and remove DC power
  • Read, understand, and follow industry standards, specifications, and schematics.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of DC Power (min. 3 yrs).
  • Understanding of lead-acid battery operation.
  • Experience performing load test & diagnosing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, pass drug tests.


Travel:

  • Travel required = 50% of the time (Frequent travel required, including driving, flying, overnight stays)
  • Travel expenses will be covered on company's behalf.
