Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Our team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications. Your solutions will impact our customers directly! Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.

Generating routes for autonomous drone delivery

Manual script execution:

• Drone delivery path recomputing, errors, constraints, no-fly zones, or other concerns.
• Writing reports on the Data and creating API/Scripts and automating requests.
• Take Ownership of all the Manual requests they are getting and identify the automation and build the scripts to automate them.
• Work with Geospatial Data and Geographic infosystems

Primary responsibilities include:

• Developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA)
• Performing SQL queries
• Improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.

Responsibilities also include:

• Working alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects
• Updating/enhancing our current software

Job Qualifications:

• 2-4 years Python, Java, Familiarity with AWS Services Operational level Experience
• 2-4 years of relevant experience is required
• The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.
• They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills
• Able to work independently
• Can maintain professionalism under pressure

Preferred coding skills:

• Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
