In-Building Construction Manager
Pittsburgh, PA (Local candidates only)
Travel: Required throughout Western PA to support large-scale in-building venues.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced In-Building Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of civil works and construction activities for major in-building wireless projects across the Western Pennsylvania region. This role is accountable for on-time project delivery, quality control, vendor management, and strict adherence to Ericsson, customer, and safety standards.
The Construction Manager will work closely with Service Providers, internal project teams, and customer PMs to ensure successful execution of all construction phases, from pre-construction planning to project close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all civil works activities, ensuring alignment with approved site designs and schedules.
  • Maintain full accountability for construction timelines, quality standards, safety compliance, and cost control.
  • Ensure only customer-approved materials are used on-site.
  • Supervise Service Providers (SP) and Approved Service Providers (ASP) to enforce Ericsson standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections, pre-inspections, and post-construction audits to verify quality and safety.
  • Lead coordination meetings with stakeholders and provide accurate project status updates.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities and troubleshooting efforts on-site.
  • Monitor and enforce a safe working environment, performing regular safety checks.
  • Manage site documentation, including NTP, RFDS, SOW, safety guidelines, QA standards, and acceptance documents.
  • Supervise the construction-specific entries in Site Handler and ensure data accuracy.
  • Reject incorrect material deliveries and report performance or quality issues.
  • Lead and mentor on-site teams, fostering a results-driven environment focused on quality outcomes.
  • Handle claims processing, material orders, and returns.
  • Provide technical support to Service Providers and vendors throughout project phases.
  • Interface with internal teams and customer representatives to ensure alignment with project objectives.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management roles, with direct involvement in large-scale wireless projects exceeding 500 sites.
  • Proven leadership experience guiding construction teams and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards and construction best practices.
  • Ability to solve complex on-site problems and implement process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Ericsson tools, systems, and customer specifications is preferred.
  • Experience in managing construction documentation and reporting requirements.
