Entry Level Computer Technician

We are currently looking to hire Entry Level Computer Technician candidates that have a fundamental understanding and/or hands on experience troubleshooting computer hardware. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality. This is the perfcct job opporunity for someone looking to get into the tech space without having much technical knowledge. Hard work will pay off.

Job Duties:

• Initially this position will be mainly server rack deployment and structured cabling

But it can eventually lead to..

• Diagnose and repair failures with computer / server hardware
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and capability to get the IP address from the network card, ifconfig, ipconfig, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware components such as: RAM, CPU, Network Cards (NIC), Motherboard, PSU, etc.
• Exhibit proficiency in the use of test and measurement equipment.
• Work as a team member to achieve Diagnostic departments process yield goals.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Training will be provided for computer technicians

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Cert, etc) and/or an IT related degree (Associates or Bachelors) is a huge plus
• Thorough knowledge of computer hardware components (building / troubleshooting / etc)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Very good communication abilities
• Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
• Work experience as a computer technician and/or computer building hobbyist
