We are seeking a highly experienced IT Program Manager to lead and manage the implementation of EPIC systems in our hospital network. This role requires a strong background in IT program management, healthcare technology, and EPIC applications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of EPIC implementations, aligning technical strategies with organizational goals, and driving stakeholder collaboration to enhance patient care through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end EPIC implementation lifecycle across multiple hospital facilities, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and post-go-live optimization.
  • Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams, including IT staff, clinical informaticists, and external vendors, to achieve program objectives within budget and timeline.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure EPIC solutions meet organizational needs and compliance requirements.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost optimization.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with EPIC implementations to avoid project delays and disruptions.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to promote user adoption and engagement across all levels of the organization.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of EPIC implementations, providing regular status updates to senior leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Post-implementation, identify opportunities for system optimization and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in IT program management, with at least 3 years focused on
  • EPIC system implementations in healthcare settings.
  • EPIC Certification: Must possess active EPIC certification(s) relevant to the role (e.g., Clinical Documentation, Cadence, Revenue Cycle).
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex healthcare IT projects using methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.- PMP certification
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of EPIC systems architecture, healthcare IT infrastructure, and integration methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations
