Position: RF Design Engineer - In-building

Job Location: Plano, TX

Contract: 1 year potential for extension/conversion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and manage network performance for indoor deployments.
  • Preferably familiar with Active DAS solutions such as Commscope, Corning, and other OEM small cells.
  • Experience with various indoor venues (business offices, hospitals, warehouses, factories, stadiums, etc.).
  • Exceptional RF optimization skills.
  • Desired understanding of Active DAS commissioning and optimization requirements.
  • Proficient in processing and analyzing RF walk test data from in-building venues for design and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of LTE, NR design and performance metrics, throughput, SINR requirements, and network parameters.
  • Ability to review walk test data and network KPIs, perform deep dive analysis, and provide recommendations and parameter changes to optimize venue performance.
  • Familiarity with walk test data collection tools such as TEMS.
  • Consultative skills with the ability to communicate clearly and manage customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact for the assigned market/region.
  • Engage in significant customer interaction to build scopes and ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and results.
  • Lead remote engineering teams.


Key Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in RF, with a minimum of 3 years in in-building deployments and optimization.
  • Proficient with iBwave, with relevant experience or level 2 certification.
  • Demonstrated ability with BSEE/BSCS or applicable experience; MSEE/MSCS preferred.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in the network area of working (Radio, in-building products).
  • Location: Plano preferred, remote acceptable if the candidate meets requirements.
  • Travel: Less than 10%.
