About the role

The Director of Construction is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of new site development. The role will work with leadership to define construction strategy, drive execution, and deliver results to meet business goals and objectives. The Director of Construction will work to build and grow the overall construction team, and culture. The position will work closely with all departments in the company including operations, sales, engineering, and finance to help deliver the best service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the performance of the construction staff on projects.
  • Deliver excellence in customer satisfaction from pre-construction through closing.
  • Manage the planning, design review, budget, and execution of site development.
  • Ensure the projects of the company are completed within the restraints of cost, time, quality, and budget.
  • Provide accurate reporting of money spent, pending, and completed work, and accidents/damages.
  • Communicate with city officials about work efforts, damages, and completion dates.
  • Ensure all job site activities comply with the company's established safety policies and procedures as well as with OSHA/EPA requirements.
  • Ensure all communities meet established appearance standards once work is finished.
  • Assist as needed during all phases of broadband construction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience.
  • Experience working on Aviation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Aviation industry and its practices.
  • Ability to lead and drive execution of projects.
  • Knowledge of safety practices pertaining to underground and aerial construction.
  • Strong communication skills across all departments in the organization as well as with vendors, professional contacts, and clients.

Requirements

  • Travel will be required to assigned projects.
