Network Technician (Entry Level Can Apply)

We have an immediate need for Network / Fiber Technician to support a new network build outs. We are open to all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates that are looking to get into the networking field.

• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, such as VFL, Fluke tester, power meter, and OTDR.
• Experience troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Experience coordinating work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows (a plus but not needed)
• Familiarity and expertise with common basic telecommunications, computer networking and associated industry tools and equipment
• Solid understanding of cabling infrastructure and low voltage cabling requirements, purpose and industry standards, preferred.

Job Duties:

• Installing & testing low voltage, Cat 5e and Cat 6 computer network cabling, fiber optic cabling, various other cables for security and paging systems.
• Install network closet hardware, including connecting blocks, equipment racks, patch panels, fiber and cable enclosures and corresponding related equipment.
• Installing and supporting network equipment including routers, servers, switches using provisioning portals.
• Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures. Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical basic replacement of damaged or faulty equipment and devices.
• Properly and professionally enter time and service completed within industry ticketing system.
• Comply with all organization business policies, workflow processes and documentation practices.

Must be able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation to get to job site
