Job Description:

This is a 100% remote apprentice electrician position with travel required to customer sites within VT, NH, and Southern ME.

Job Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a Journeyman or Master Electrician, install, repair, maintain, and test electrical equipment and circuits, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Perform modifications to circuits, power transitions, and additions/removals on working power distribution sources.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of power system equipment.
• Participate in DC controller software upgrades and DC power transition work.
• Assist with the installation, addition, or removal of telecom batteries and circuits on working power distribution sources.
• Conduct equipment testing and commissioning.
• Oversee safe work practices when working with energized equipment.
• Install generators and transfer switches.
• Perform wiring connections and modifications on working equipment and circuits.
• Add or remove common systems equipment and hardware.
• Install or remove wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only).
• Perform lead verification (voltage).
• Analyze job specifications and engineering drawings.

Qualifications:

• Apprentice Certification Required
• One year of experience in electrical systems or equipment repair, testing, maintenance, or installation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 100%) and work various shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install, or remove batteries.
• Frequently push or pull cables (up to 60 lbs).
• Ascend and descend ladders up to 8 feet.
• Work/stand on ladders for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, and squatting.
• Work in various environments with moderate noise levels and fluctuating temperatures.
