SAP BODS and Information Steward Developer - Remote - Inside IR35

Our client are currently looking to hire a SAP BODS and Information Steward Developer to join the team on a remote working contract basis.

In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using SAP BODS and ensuring data quality through SAP Information Steward. Your expertise will contribute to efficient data movement, transformation, and loading processes, as well as data governance.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Integration and ETL Development:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SAP BODS.
• Create and optimize data workflows, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

2. Data Quality and Governance:

• Utilize SAP Information Steward to assess data quality, identify data anomalies, and create rules based on the DAMA Framework.
• Work closely with data stewards to improve data quality across the organization.
• Build Scorecards to Present Data to Key Stakeholders.

3. Data Modeling and Mapping:

• Define data models, mappings, and transformations to meet business needs.
• Ensure alignment with data governance policies and standards.

4. Performance Tuning and Optimization:

• Identify bottlenecks and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Monitor and fine-tune job performance for both SAP BODS and Information Steward components.

5. Error Handling and Troubleshooting:

• Implement error handling mechanisms to handle data exceptions and failures.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data integration, transformation, and data quality.

6. Documentation and Training:

• Document technical specifications, data mappings, and ETL processes.
• Provide training and support to end-users and other team members.

Skills:

1. Essential

• Expertise in SAP Data Services (BODS) and SAP Information Steward
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Fluent English both spoken and written

2. Good To Have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong experience in IT, with a focus on data integration, ETL development, and data quality
• Knowledge of SAP HCM/SAP Payroll
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with Nested Schema (JSON/XML)
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience with BODS setup and configuration
• Strong knowledge of HANA SQL and ability to write complex SQL queries and procedures
